Instrumentation,
end to end.

Unplex® engineers mission-critical instruments — products that sense a physical, physiological or biological signal, make it trustworthy, and turn it into a decision. Nine disciplines, one cross-functional systems team, compliance designed in from day one.

SYSTEMS ENGINEERING ELECTRONICS FIRMWARE / CLOUD MECHANICS DFM IEC 62304 ISO 14971

Every instrument is a chain: sense, condition, digitize, compute, connect, decide. Each link is a different discipline, and most failures live at the joints between them. That's why every Unplex® project has one owner of the whole: systems engineering that holds the architecture and the interfaces, wherever the disciplines sit.

Nine disciplines. One owner of the whole.

Disciplines may sit with us, with you, or with a partner — the architecture and the interfaces always sit with one systems engineer. Hand-offs aren't eliminated; they're owned.

E/01

Industrial Design

From idea to solid conceptualization — form, ergonomics and user experience that make complex devices feel inevitable.

CONCEPT
E/02

System Design

The whole signal chain on one whiteboard — architecture across electronics, mechanics and software, decided before a single part is made.

ARCHITECTURE
E/03

Hardware Design

Where weak signals become trustworthy data — schematics, PCB layout, signal integrity and EMC.

ELECTRONICS
E/04

Mechanical Design

Bridging form and function — precision CAD, DFM, tolerance analysis, enclosures and mechanisms built to be built.

MECHANICS
E/05

Software

Where data becomes decisions — embedded firmware to cloud, with IEC 62304 discipline.

FIRMWARE / CLOUD
E/06

Sourcing

Efficient procurement and logistics — vetted supply chains across India and North America that keep your BOM honest.

SUPPLY CHAIN
E/07

Prototyping & DFM

Looks-like, works-like builds that surface risk early — and designs that survive the factory floor.

VALIDATION
E/08

Compliance

Rigorous quality assurance for reliability — standards engineered in, never bolted on.

REGULATORY
E/09

Pilot Production

Preparing for a successful market entry — from validated design to first articles and scale-ready manufacturing.

MANUFACTURING

Five phases. No surprises.

Our project phases are structured so definition, development and delivery each end with something you can hold, test or sign.

P1

Systems Definition

Market research, product conceptualization and systems elicitation — the scope of work everyone signs before anyone designs.

P2

Systems Design

Architecture first, then every discipline in parallel — electronics, software, mechanics and the interfaces between them.

P3

Prototype Build

PCB fabrication, component sourcing, board assembly, mechanical parts and firmware — brought together as one working unit.

P4

Prototype Verification

Hardware, software and mechanical verification against the definition — plus product compliance testing before anything ships.

P5

Manufacturing Support

Supplier selection, manufacturing documentation, production training, QC fixtures and supervised first production runs.

Regulatory compliance runs through every phase. Design history documentation builds as the product does — so verification, audits and submissions draw from work already done, not work redone.

Asked before most kickoffs.

What do we get at the end?+

Everything. CAD source, schematics and layout files, firmware source, test records and the design-history documentation your auditor will ask for. Your IP, delivered in full — no lock-in.

Do you manufacture in-house?+

We take you through pilot production with vetted manufacturing partners across India and North America — supplier selection, manufacturing documents, fixtures and supervised first runs. You own the supplier relationships we set up.

Can you take over a stalled design?+

Yes. We audit what exists against the systems definition it should have had, keep what survives scrutiny, and re-plan the shortest defensible path to a verified prototype.

How do you price engineering work?+

Phase by phase. Each of the five phases is scoped and priced before it starts, and each ends with a deliverable you can evaluate — so you're never committed beyond the next milestone.
